Dahlia Tuber Orders - FAQ & Policies

When can I buy dahlia tubers?

We host an annual online dahlia tuber sale every winter. The 2025 sale will be held in February (official date TBD). The dahlia tuber sale will go live on our website, the sale is completely online (there is no in-person shopping)., all orders will be shipped to you. The online tuber shop will only remain open for a short time. When stock sells out, we will close the shop until next year.

What varieties do you sell?

We sell varieties that are suitable for cut flower production and cutting gardens. A preview of most of the varieties available can be found in our shop. A few select varieties are available in bulk (bags of 10 tubers) at a discount.

how much do dahlia tubers cost?

Individual tubers range in price from $8-$30/each, depending on the variety. We are currently building stock of many “highly sought after” varieties, and hope to offer more of those in 2025.

When will I receive my order?

All orders will be shipped in mid to late April, after risk of frost. Tubers cannot be shipped if there is a chance of freezing because the tubers may be destroyed by the cold. All orders will ship via USPS priority (you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number, please read the next FAQ). We do not offer “early shipping” at this time.

How will My order be shipped?

All orders will ship via USPS and you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number when we ship your order. Check your spam/promotions tabs for emails from us or add us to your email contact list/primary inbox. (Thank you for your patience with our VERY small business!).

Can I pick up my tubers locally?

No, all orders will be shipped. We are no longer offering local pick up. We apologize for any inconvenience!

How are the dahlia tubers sold?

Tubers are sold as divisions and single tubers, not large clumps (as seen in dutch sales). All tubers sold are guaranteed to have at least one viable eye and will be true to type. Please note that tuber size can vary vastly, dependent on variety type (some are huge, some are small- all will produce beautifully if they have a viable eye). Dahlia tubers are not beautiful, but we assure you, the flowers will be!

Are Tubers/Orders “safe” in my shopping cart?

Due to restrictions with our e-commerce site, tubers (or any other item) will not be "safe" in your shopping cart until you have fully checked out.  If another customer checks out quicker, tubers in your cart may disappear. So if you have your eye on a particular popular variety, be sure to check out quickly. Due to excessive rains in 2023, we are experiencing shortages of some varieties.

Can I make changes to my order once it is placed?

No. Changes cannot be made to orders once they are placed. If you happen to place multiple orders, we will do our best to combine them together, but cannot make guarantees due to the high volume of orders we receive. Please add your previous order #’s to the comment section at checkout.

What Happens if I am not satisfied with my order?

Open your order and the bags of tubers immediately upon receiving them, read and follow our dahlia growing guide. All tubers are guaranteed to have a viable eye and be true to type. If you feel you received unsatisfactory tubers, please contact us within 24 hours. If you wait longer than 1 week after receiving your tubers, we cannot be held responsible for their condition. We will not accept quality claims after 7 days from the ship date of your order, except for incorrect variety claims. Trademarks Flower Farm will not be held responsible for tuber failure if you fail to follow the growing instructions, nor will Trademarks Flower Farm be held responsible for poor performance, loss, or damage due to inclement weather, improperly handled environmental pests, or disease issues in your garden or on your farm. You are not entitled to any compensation from Trademarks Flower Farm other than a refund of the original amount of your tuber.

What happens If I don’t see a viable eye on my tuber?

Please note that most tubers may still be dormant when shipped, which can make eyes impossible or very difficult to see. Tubers should “wake up” and start to sprout within 8 weeks once planted, as long as they are given the proper growing conditions.

How should I store my tubers until planting them outdoors?
